My new soap, a carbon copy of the Fendrihan sample I tried. Supposedly, bergamot is an aromatic citrus scent? However, I'm getting some sort of Apple scent in this one, which I'm enjoying immensely.

Performance is good enough, but nothing to write home about. Happy Monday folks![Image: 62e0dead339df71cb97ea3df26dca1d0.jpg]

Not a soap I used today but a great mail call. I found a sample in the cabinet I had forgotten about from cutting edge soaps and got 3 uses out of it. All resulted in great, smooth shaves with one of my more aggressive razors. Citrus wood is a great scent. While I was ordering I grabbed evergreen and cedar which also turned out to be a good scent off the puck. Not as strong as citrus wood but still very pleasant.

I really wish I had started off my double-edged shaving adventure with a great soap like Original. If there’s one mistake I made early on, it was trying to shave on the cheap. I bought tiny brushes, tinny razors, and lackluster soaps. The result was a mediocre shave. Now I’ve learned the importance of investing in a good soap, and it’s made all the difference. My other gear is still on the cheap side, but when it comes to soap, I like reaching for one of the best.
