What soap/cream did you use today?

Crabtree & Evelyn Lavender shaving cream (vintage), another one becoming a croap. Its color seems off somehow, but the scent is wonderful lavender.

My soap shelf is bare. Every tub, tin, tube, and jar has gone into deep storage. All that’s left is this little wooden bowl of Original. I had to lock away the others to keep from getting distracted. Now is the time for focus. Until it’s exhausted, Original will be my only lather pot. So far, it’s vanishing quickly. I’m using about 6% per shave. At that pace, we could have this all tucked away by the Ides of March.

You have some serious discipline.  One of the small pleasures of my day is opening up the cabinet to see which soap and scent I will choose!  I couldn't do what you're doing.  But your focus probably builds character, and all that, as B. Wooster might possibly have said....

Today, being a wild sensualist and given to no hedonic discipline (see the immediate above posting), I went on an imagined trip to Southern California

Hub City - Ideal Man -  Had a few HC samples delivered last week. One morning as I was applying a dense, creamy lather, my wife came in and said whatever I was using "smelled great".  When I told her it was a sample, she said I needed to buy a tub. Well who am I to argue with Mrs. Lukester ? All shaving properties ....lather, slickness, residual slickness and post shave comfort were excellent. Customer service exceeded my expectations. Going to take HC Pages out for a spin tomorrow.

Rob, how did you like this soap? I was thinking about buying it, but something stopped me.

The soap is spectacular as is the splash if you can get your hands on one.  It’s very dense/rich, plenty of phantom lather, scent is a 6.5-7 on the strength meter.  The splash is a 10 on the strength meter! Wonderful scent! I also received a generous sample of “Spanish Fern” all I can say is I can see myself offloading quite a few soaps when that one arrives.  I’VE never smelled anything like it.  So far all I can say is this is a Top Shelf Kit

What's this, Lesser? You've also got a yen for Wodehouse? This could be the beginning of something beautiful (as Plum said).

Used a sample of ADP Barbiere shampoo bc it's a nice day and when I got out of the shower I was still in the mood for some more citrus and floral.

Coates is one of the best creams I’ve ever used, I stocked before the final demise. The scents are as true as you can get, wonderful performer.  Why do all the brilliant brands go way of the Dodo Bird? Another one is iColonialli, I have 1 unopened puck left and I fell “up” the stairs with my ceramic pot....landed on top of it
