What soap/cream did you use today?

After Dave in KY posted a pic earlier today, I had to use Stirling's Queen of Hearts.

This one was a part of a few soaps Rod released as a ladies soap line. This specific scent is more of a 'foodies' line, as it smells mostly of caramel, vanilla, and berries. I also detect the honeysuckle and jasmine in it, albeit the sweets are the stars of the show.

The official notes are: caramel, vanilla, berries, honeysuckle, amber, sandalwood, and jasmine.

More of a warmer weather soap, but good just the same.

Desert Vetiver v. (Saponificio Varesino) candied sagebrush

My lather smells like somebody took a bottle of guava soda and dumped it on a hot sage brush. Floral, fruity, and bitter all at once, Desert Vetiver doesn’t sound that attractive, but in fact it comes across clean and surprisingly fresh on a hot afternoon. I get a lot of citrus and rose mixed up with dried herbs. There’s also some spice and woods and moss. But what I smell the most is artemisia. Call it wormwood or call it sage brush, it’s quite pungent and bitter. Do I like Desert Vetiver? I'd like it better if it actually smelled like vetiver. But that note's buried under a high heap of other fragrant bits. So for now, let’s say I’m still coming to terms with it. To its credit, it really does bring ups memories of the desert southwest (and the motels I’ve slept in there) – I love the southwest, but I’m still iffy on the motels.

Trendsetter, using warm weather soaps in winter and vice versa! That’s living!
