What soap/cream did you use today?

Morning Ghost t. (Cold River Soap Works) bergamot vetiver

This tub of Morning Ghost is about three years old. I’ve used it maybe a dozen times. I’m happy to say that today it’s just as fresh and woody and sour as it was on the first day. In fact, every shave has been a delight. But man it’s disappearing fast. My scales says it’s half way to done. It started out as a cream, but over the years it’s dried up like the Salton Sea. What’s left still makes a magnificent lather, but you have to give it about 150 swirls to get loaded up properly. The way it disappears gives me some clue as to why it’s called Morning Ghost. It reminds me of Hamlet's father when he heard the cock crow.

Grooming Department Cedarwood.  First time.  Hadn't used the Nai base before and it took my figuring it out but when I did it turned out to be a wonderfully slick almost paste-like consistency that really worked.  Took a lot of loading but in the end I think I got it - at least it worked very well.

Love that setup. Soap is great isn't it?
