The fourteenth item listed in the ingredients is trisodium ethylenediamine disuccinate. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that in other soaps. So what’s it good for? Looks like it’s a chelating agent. In other words, it helps build your lather keeps it stable while you shave. Does it work? Well, judging by today’s shave, it may do a very good job. My lather was as stable as the pyramids, and what’s more, it was very slick. So good for Barrister & Mann for trying out new ingredients, and good on them for doling out a generous portion of their soap. The label promises 113 grams. Looks like I got 115 in this pot.
