Holy Cow Wholly Kaw! - Chypre Rose Concerto
Full Rose - I am a bona fide rose aficionado. This is a pretty sophisticated scent. A lot of green-resinous goodness and incense in this beast. Plays well with the rose classic Federic Malle's Portrait of a Lady. BTW boys, that scent is not a feminine rose - it is a stout incense lased bombshell.

Slåtterøy v. (Fitjar Islands) spiced orange
It will be a long time before I ever see the bottom of a jar of soap, but HoosierShave has shown it can be done! It's just a question of focus and a big brush. In February I'll be focusing on Fitjar Islands soaps. I stocked up last year when they offered free shipping. They're great lather makers, and it's time to enjoy them.
Slåtterøy is Fitjar Islands’ take on bay rum. It smells good, but don’t expect a really rummy scent, and there’s not much bay. What you get is a spiced citrus with a bit of cedar. There’s also some olive oil in the mix. It gives the soap a smooth smell and soft texture, but I wouldn’t call this an olive oil soap. The main fats are stearic acid and palm kernel oil. Curious note: stearic acid takes its name from the Greek word στέαρ 'stear', which means tallow.

Fitjar Islands: Slåtterøy (63% remaining) ・ Henson Al13 (39) ・ Astra Superior Platinum ・ Phoenix Shaving Solar Flare (210) ・ Soap Hoard: 11,984 g ・ Used this year: 65 g

I’ve had this tin of WSP Sandalwood sitting around for probably a year now waiting it’s turn in rotation. Today was the day. Formula T is a fantastic soap and builds a glossy and slick lather effortlessly. The Sandalwood scent on this one is a delightfully dry, even parched scent. No fluff in this one. So very nice.
