What soap/cream did you use today?

First of the month - yesterday was Mike's Vetiver and today was perhaps the last of Aussie Ice.  A little bit remains in the tub and I'll lather it one more time.  May need to add some cream to it to get a good lather but it will be the first of "Chosen 6" to go down

Sellout?  What does that mean?  Today I used Declaration Groomings soap labeled Sellout, an unapologetic scent that smells like Aventus by Creed and a pretty nice one at that.  I don’t catch the smoke I do in the real juice but the currant and pineapple are there.  Base notes are fleeting at best to my nose but hey, I bought a soap and not a bottle of Creed now didn't I? Fact is this is a very good representation of what Aventus is and will pair nicely with a squirt of Aventus shoulda man have a bottle sitting on his shelf.  So what’s with the name?  Does he feel he “sold out” building another Aventus dupe?  Or did he know that an Aventus dupe would “Sellout”?  When it’s all said and done though, if you are an Aventus lover you will love this soap.  If you are looking for a safe blind buy scent you can’t help but like this soap.  I’m not a big Creed aficionado and lean to scents a bit less unisex but that makes me odd man out in my tribe.  The rest of them dig Aventus as does the rest of the world it seems.  I haven’t decided if I’m going to keep it around but should I choose to jettison, a kid will certainly have a hand in the air volunteering.  Oh, and I wanted to see how much water it would hold and found out you can in fact push the milk steak base too far.  Slickness went backwards and I had to add a little soap to the mix.

Nice refreshing fragrance on this. Another one in my all year rotation. Performance top shelf as expected from MW. This time of year, I love me some tallow /lanolin soaps.

Folgefonn v. (Fitjar Islands) menthol, eucalyptus, spruce

Mostly menthol, and a gentle menthol at that, Folgefonn is supposed to capture the feel of cool wind blowing off a glacier. It’s a mild chill, but refreshing. Go ahead and use it in the depths of winter. You won’t risk frostbite.

Razorock / Don Donato

8/19/1942

This soap must have no bottom!  I keep thinking you’ll announce that Mr. Donato is no more but here he comes again today.  Love this scent.

I've got 4 Razorock soaps, it's hard to get to the bottom of any of them, not bad for a $10.00 soap.
