Tim’s is a long gone brand that during his heyday enjoyed quite a following.  I have a few Tim’s soaps left.  This one, Breakfast of Champions, doesn’t smell like Wheaties or Bacon and eggs, or oatmeal.  It smells of booze and cigars, and coffee. Breakfast of Champions must be a nod to the winner of last nights poker game but darned if I don’t love this boozy scent.  It lathers like a high stearic soap of which it certainly is.  Just made for that Teton Shaves custom boar.

Bouki has 4 posts that describe this in wonderful detail. I will not elaborate on his description but leave you with this : clean, refreshing, arboreal and perfect for all seasons. SV, MdC, and SH are my top 3 non-tallow pux. Can't go wrong with this one boys. Their AFS is a nice balmy style that works well in winter.

Barrister’s Reserve Fern t. (Barrister & Mann) bright fougère

Barrister’s Reserve Fern is clean, green, and offers everything that's good about a fougère. I pick up lots of lavender, some nice grassy notes, and even a pinch of moss. I can see why some shavers drop everything and sink into this soap for weeks at a stretch. Something about it just sparkles. And the lather should satisfy anyone who’s looking for a yogurty emulsion without all the oily parts that can bog a heavy lather down.

That Sears brush!

Thank you. I especially like the shape of the Barrister handle, & using the jade & ebony as rod stock adds a lovely elegance to the brush, IMHO.
