What soap/cream did you use today?

MdC Agrumes.  It performs well and, if I set aside my prior experience, it has a nice scent.  Unfortunately, due to America’s generations-long obsession with insecticides (for everyone’s lawn and deck and porch and patio, of course at both homes, as well as the boats and campsites and Town park pavilions and god-knows where else), this soap reminds me of bug spray and all those other mass-produced “lemon-fresh” consumer cleaning products.  Too bad, really.  (Geez, that just kinda slipped out.  Sorry, I’m sleep deprived).

Oh boy this weekend was full of chores.  I like working but I’m glad this weekend is over.  I wanted to visit a soap that seems to be defunct.  Used to be one could find Dr Selbys pretty easily but about the time I picked up this puck, the darn stuff disappeared.  You can still get Dr. Selbys diaper cream but I’m hoping most of us don’t have much personal use for that.  I’m a fan of lavender but this one is unlike any other lavender I own.  It smells more of stems and leaves than the flower and frankly I am fine with that.  Wonderful fresh green scent that is uplifting and different.  The soap lathers very easily and is slick and protective.  A bit dry on the finish but As you know, I don’t care about that even a little bit.  What a great whisker-whittle this cold January morning.
