A little under the weather.  In fact I get to go get a Covid test in a few minutes.  Don’t think that is what I’m dealing with but you know how it is with work and trying to keep everyone safe.  Well, it doesn’t matter how rough a guy feels, he owes it to the world to get cleaned up when he goes out so this morning I smashed MdC Vetiver into my face.  Sure do like that scent a lot.

The last of my new soap acquisistions.  I have a few L&L Grooming but this is my first use of the DG Milksteak base - this lather an really hold some water!  The B-cubed may not be a spot-on replica of BBB but it is close and I'm very thankful DG is at least keeping this amazing scent alive!

Ethos Grooming Succès soft shaving soap. To avoid wasting soap left in the scuttle bowl, I loaded the brush directly from the jar and ended up with not quite enough lather this time.

Bay Rum t. (Barrister & Mann) wassail

I asked my wife to pick a soap that smelled like Christmas. She chose this Bay Rum. To her, the orange and spice combo smells just like wassail. We usually have a great kettle of that warm, mulled juice simmering on the stove throughout the holidays. When carolers come by, they get a cup. Of course, there haven’t been any carolers this year, but didn’t stop me from humming “The Holly and the Ivy” while I whipped up this morning’s lather.
