Cyril Salter Indian Sandalwood shaving cream, actually more of a croap. I don't know if it always is that way or if I just got one that had dried some.

1st use of Zingari Man - i had picked up the AS a few weeks ago and, true to most of Shawn Maher's creations, fell in love with the scent.  Since I had not yet tried a tub of Zingari Man, I decided to include it on a recent purchase from Razor Company using my 10% discount (Bouki, I too suffer from the embarrassment of spending so much $ on soap...but those discounts definitely help )

I’m having to re-think the way I make a lather. My new Henson aluminum razor gives me an awesome shave, but it’s too light to navigate a thick, billowing emulsion. Thin and slick is much more to its liking. So I’m drenching even my light vegan lathers until I’ve got only a glaze on my face. I usually get it right by the third pass. Luckily, Dark Limes has quite a bit of clay in it, and that makes it thirsty and stable so I can work it down to a thin icing.

Bouki, sorry if I might have missed it somewhere else, but what's your methodology for calculating the cost? Based on current tally of uses? Projected uses?

Nero: You're right. My calculations are based on a running tally of uses. I keep a spreadsheet that shows how much I paid for each of my razors, blades, brushes, and soaps. I also keep a diary that tells me what items I use each day. To figure out the overall cost of each day's shave, my spreadsheet divides the original price of each item by the number of times I've used it. Then it adds up all the results, and that gives the total cost for that shave. The more I use a razor or a brush or a soap, the more its cost per use drops, and the cheaper my shaves become. This whole exercise is just incentive to use new or expensive items until their cost per use becomes, well, ... reasonable. And I like to see the big numbers drop over time. It sort of soothes a conscience that's a little embarrassed by how much has been spent to remove a few whiskers.
