For a long time I thought the word rosemary had something to do with roses. I buried my snout in a big green bunch of the prickly herb hoping to find something sweet, but of course, it just wasn’t there. Instead I got a lovely pine-sap aroma with mint and camphor mixed in. It was invigorating and screamed “clean,” but what was up with the rosy name? Turns out English borrowed the word rosemary from Latin rosmarinus, literally “dew of the sea.” The plant thrives in a rocky environment completely exposed to salty winds blowing in from the ocean. It’s one of the few herbs my wife can keep going all year round in our sandy, salty soil. And when I whip up a good thick lather of Martin de Candre's Original, it's green, piney scent fills the house, and for a few minutes our artificial Christmas tree almost comes to life.

Any suggestions from anyone on a splash or a EDT/EDP that goes well with this one.

Holiday season shaves are special. I have been saving this for Christmas week. Good bay rum triple crown. The Royale Bay Rum cologne is very boozy. And the Derby City AFS is very unique [bourbon based, great for a KY boy like me]. And the SH Bay is so easy to dial up and in! 5 star evening shave!

I've been dusting myself with Le 3e Homme one day and Encre Noir the next. (The lather smells pretty strong, but it doesn't linger.)

Wanting to finish this last bit of Cosmo 4.2 from SV, not so sure how many shaves are left on it
Lathered up with a synthetic to be a very protective, acts thirsty for me and stays dense during the shave.
