What soap/cream did you use today?

La Fougère Parfaite t. (Wholly Kaw) ‘the essence of man’

I’ve been playing this soap all wrong. Up till now I’ve been loading heavy in the hopes of making mounds of creamy lather, but this just led to lots of paste. It was plenty protective, but not very slick at all. Today somewhere around the third pass I give it a massive drink. The stiff lather sort of collapsed, like it was offended, but then turned all glossy and became remarkably slick – slick like Nero's alpine slopes slick. Glorious shaving from that point on.
