Agrumes v. (Martin de Candre) excellent citrus

I scooped the contents of my 50 g jar of Agrumes into a wooden bowl that once housed some tobacco-scented soap. When I lathered up today, I smelled a curious mix of fresh fruit and fermented leaf. It was unusual, but I can’t say it was entirely disagreeable.

Well, now I know what I'm doing tomorrow with tonight's leftovers! I don't even have to shop for anything for the conversion. 2020 ain't so bad after all.

Great lather, great soap. What else can you say. Only that this is a top soap, one of many. And it is worthy of attention.

Beautiful day here in the Republic. Took my girlfriend out for a session of skinny dippin' in a nice watershed here in North Texas. She is a determined bird dog [GSP] and loves the water. I think we have spent more on her [training] than I have on shaving [i.e. exorbitant funding/expenditures]. [Image: 6935e9e5cdd193019e3b432620faa5be.jpg][Image: e426286989ed24b9443a7ab55f72e919.jpg]

Vetiver is deeply appreciated for its smokey, earthy notes. The dirtier, the better, many of us believe. Martin de Candre, though, has somehow managed to scrub most of that away, leaving being a sparkling vetiver that starts leaning into mint territory. I find Vétyver mild but restoring, and it pairs nicely with a dab of grapefruit witch hazel.

What brand witch hazel?  A grapefruit scented witch hazel is something I'd really like to try!
I've been using Prospector Co.'s K. C. Atwood Aftershave Splash. It's not just grapefruit, though. There's some other stuff floating around in it. Here's what they have to say about it: "Witch hazel and aloe build a solid foundation for the invigorating grapefruit and sweet orange properties in this aftershave. Citrus and coriander bring everything together for a crisp, tight finish. A couple splashes of this alcohol-free solution on your face after a shave and you'll feel invigorated, ready to start your day fresh." It's light, bright, and just slightly tacky at first. And don't worry; it's so mildly scented, it won't clobber your cologne.
Thank you sir!  Another product to go on the "wish list" Smile
