Mitchell’s Wool Fat is iconic.  It enjoys a reputation of lather difficulty and I don’t doubt that someone’s water doesn’t play well with it but it sure isn’t my granitic Idaho groundwater.  I’ve never found it hard to deal with or the least bit finicky.  It does have 5he dreaded lanolin which doesn’t play well with our friend Nero, but if you don’t have issues with lanolin you really need to give it a go.  Scent is light but u like others who report “soapy” as the profile, I find it more than merely soap but a very nice and refined gentleman’s scent. Performance is impeccable and boy howdy, I like that triple milled puck loading experience.

I love this thread and the accompanying photos but I recall not knowing how to add a pic.  Foo dear if that is why we get some gents in here for awhile but then they leave.  So if you are one that wants to start leaving a picture, here is how it’s done.  Circled below is an red circled icon in the “post” screen.
