What soap/cream did you use today?

Man, I have too many soaps, but each time I think to downsize, I decide that the soaps really are more fun to monkey with rather than turn into cash.

I hear you, Lipripper660! Nowadays I look at my soap hoard as a sort of library. Do I use them all regularly? Nope, most of the time they just sit there on the shelf. Will they last forever? Not in this climate. Heat and humidity are going to do them all in at some point. Could I sell them? Yes, but when you figure in postage and packaging and the trip to the post office, the return is hardly worth the effort. Will I keep buying more? Of course! There will always be something new and interesting worth investigating. The actually shaving only takes a few minutes each morning, but the sorting and the researching and the writing about all the soaps out there, that's where the fun of this peculiar pastime lies.

(Pity, though, that there's nothing like a local public soap library where you could check out a tub for a few shaves and then return it. Sounds like you and your sons might have something like that going. Enjoy!)

Hahaha.  The soap library.  I actually only have one son that checks out and returns soaps.  The others find a soap they like and take it with them never to be seen again.  There are a few where I’ll tell them that can’t have it but VERY few.  And it gives us stuff to talk about so it’s fun sure as shooting.  If you were in your WY stomping grounds it would be easy to send the mobile soap library but the Sandwich Islands might be a bit harder.

I end up using some of mine as face soaps in the shower just to get rid of them. I do have several unused soaps that I don't think I want to use and really need to post them as a lot somewhere to try and get a little of what I spent back

I'm never one to say this, but like 5-10 swirls is plenty.
This is coming from someone who loads MDC like any other soap.
