Mint Ice Menthol Paste v. (Meißner Tremonia) peppermint, eucalyptus, menthol

More mint than menthol, this soap is still herby enough not to smell like toothpaste. I like it now, but I have to admit that the first time I used it, I wasn’t too impressed with the lather. It’s light and airy. Not the sort of foam you think will give you good protection. But in fact it works fine, and the finish, for me at least, is exceptionally smooth and clean. My only grouse is that this jar of paste is disappearing all too quick.

I shaved with Desert Vetiver SV for the first time last night. I think that was the first time I did a 3 pass shave with 16hrs beard growth. The soap worked pretty well so I will get some more shaves with it. The scent is pretty nice and made me reminisce on some scents that I liked from an artisan I ordered direct from in Spain like 6 or 7 years ago. The brand was Mé and a couple of the scents were very pleasant and although very “busy” on paper, aka a lot of scent notes, it came across harmoniously. Desert Vetiver had an almost mint like or cool facet while using it last night. I’ll report back soon Smile cheers

Declaration Grooming has been a boon to the industry from a lot of perspectives.  As a Sandalwood aficionado I am grateful for the work here by DG and Chatillon  Lux on Santal Auster.  Deep, moody, and oh so interesting and the performance is top shelf.  I wish I was a “nose” to pick this one apart but what I can say is it is so very nice.  (And the aftershave lasts like an edp.)
