SOAP COMMANDER / Honey Musk Patchouli
Vegan soaps are interesting, although you can get them to lather like a tallow, I don’t feel as though the “Phantom Lather” is there after making a pass. My face felt squeaky CLEAN and very nice after using Soap Commander but those hydrating and moisturizing properties are lacking imo. When the water on my face began to dry after rinse I could feel the skin on my face getting tighter fast. Tallow seems to keep the skin on my face very well moisturized whilst I go through the stages of my routine.
I thought the scent was very nice, lite, not overpowering, sweet but not floral, masculine, but not cologne-y. I would have loved more Musk more patchouli and with the honey the result being a very Urban Hippie smell but it’s just a nice lite scent. Fades immediately, you cannot smell this scent after you rinse. Personally, I like BIG BOLD in your face scent with soaps. I’ve gotten used to very BIG SPICY scents I fancy and the lighter smelling soaps don’t get much love from me. I get it, some people LOVE unscented or lightly scented. This one is for you Gents! Slickness is there, protective barrier is there, gorgeous lather but you must use a balm, splash, moisturizer immediately. You won’t get away without perfect post routine here.
Yes, I would purchase another Soap Commander Soap with a Balm. Now that I know how Vegan Soaps/Croaps work for me, I will always get their matching balm. I will research SC scents because I need BOLD! Have you ever been to a gym and there’s that one guy in the locker room spraying that AXE body spray for like 5 minutes? Yeah, that’s me I’m that guy.....ROFLMAO, JOKING JOKING JOKING, that Is NOT me, I’m always the guy choking and gasping for air on that trash they’re spraying!
Lol, but you guys get it when I say Big Bold Scents....an example being Khalifa or King of Bourbon, Angel, AoS Sandalwood............
I’m a fan of Wet Shaving Products Formula T and Matterhorn is a very nice one indeed. Citric and sweet with a woody base, it is a nod to Creeds Silver Mountain Water. Having never sniffed the real thing I can’t speak to that. I keep putting the Rocco to the task and today it faced a Razorock Gamechanger .84. That report will be in “what razor”.
Strong 'n Scottish v. (Meißner Tremonia) cade, whisky
Cool weather has at last made it to these sweltering shores. To celebrate I’m breaking out the good stuff. No more light and dainty colognes. It’s time for a four-barrel reek. Strong 'n Scottish is not for the faint-hearted. It takes square-jawed sturdiness and stuffy nose to enjoy this one. I've heard it described as the smell of the steam coming off a peat fire that's been doused with a bottle of Laphroaig.
