May I inquire as to which YSL scent you are referring to? 

I would have to guess it's going to be something similar to Rive Gauche.

Mr. Fine’s products indeed fit the name.  I haven’t found one yet that doesn’t work for me.   Today was Green Vetiver which to my nose is a ringer for Guerlain’s vetiver.  I really like this scent  as it allows vetiver to be the star.  It claims top notes of citrus but vetiver often has a citrus vibe to it.  All I can say is it is vetiver and although there are some other scents swirling around (tobacco, cedar) they support rather than detract from the star.  This is not a Salters swamp fire type vetiver (so good) but a more refined, suit-wearing, oh so masculine vetiver that is not for boys nor is it in any way unisex.  That Dutch made, triple milled puck produces great gobs of slick lather without too much time on the puck.  Although this scent is not going to be in every gents wheelhouse I find it Very nice indeed.
