Rose v. (Martin de Candre)
Martin de Candre packs their jars with soap right up to the rim. Loading is easy. But if you’re a fan of the Marco method, get ready for some serious cleaning after your shave. A stiff and dripping boar brush scoops up a lot of soap, but it also sprays the solution all over the sink and mirror. (The place needed a good scrub anyway.) Today I spritzed the soap with Santa Maria Novella’s Patchouli edt. This fragrance has a woody-rosy side note that works well with the native scent of the soap. I got a really nice lather complemented by a rich earthy scent that reminded me of turning over the topsoil in the rose garden.
