Brutalt Bra v. (Bergums Såpkokeri) lavender, rosemary, sage, eucalyptus
The finish is wonderful: not greasy, heavy, damp, or clogging, just a feeling of normal, healthy skin. I’m not really sure how Bergum pulls this off, since there are very few ingredients in the soap. But what’s here works well for me. Brutalt Bra smells mostly of eucalyptus, although there are plenty of other herbal bits floating around. It goes well with a twist or two from the menthol mill. A very nice all-year-rounder but especially pleasant on a hot muggy day when anything heavy would seem stifling.

It has been more than two years since Desmond's Barrow has been lathered in the den. At the time, I was still bowl lathering and thought the lather was ok. But I was digging through the stash this past weekend and found it at the bottom of a stack in the back row. Decided this morning to lather it up using a face-lathering method. This lather turned out fantastic! Very slick, very protective, and can hold a ton of water! The scent...well, it's not my favorite and is probably a bigger reason why it fell so far behind of the group. After today's lather performance, I'll keep this one on the radar so it doesn't fall too far behind again.
