Right back to it today.  Does it lather as easily as Sir Henrys?  Nope.  But I love the scent.

Lipripper660: great to see you up on your feet and flexing your joints. All the best to you and your knee. Now, tell us about the scent of this B Cubed. Are we talking Bay Rum? (DG is amazingly reticent about what exactly their fragrances are made up of.)

I know what you mean.  Great scents and names but not much direction as to the notes in the accord.  I think he goes for an emotion or feeling rather than just a scent and for me it works.  B Cubed to my understanding is a snappy new name for BlackBerry Blossom Bay.  This scent was originally an LE for this forum and our own Marko can likely state things better than I.  What it is not:  this is not a bay rum although it certainly gives a nod to those roots.  Bay is a prevailing note.  What it is:  the top notes are certainly a very masculine floral that I’d guess was the blackberry blossom.  There is spice in the middle reminiscent of Shultons Old Spice but not nearly so powerful.  Just a really nice and rounded spice background.  The bay smells of true bay and not frag oils.  And I swear I’m picking up a sandalwood base.  It’s unlike anything ive sniffed but it sure is nice.

This one has climbed to #2 in my Sir Henry's scent ladder [Barbershop Quartet #1, Sandalwood #3].

Fendrihan's "Charcoal" Shaving Cream
Strange colour, strange scent.
The lather it makes is much lighter in colour, but still is a weird grey.

Fragrance notes – "A dynamic fragrance that combines cedarwood, sandalwood, musk and vanilla."  (Sure, I guess.)
Ingredients – Aqua (Water), Stearic Acid, Myristic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Coconut Fatty Acid, Activated Charcoal Powder, Glycerin, Parfum (Fragrance), Triethanolamine, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Alpha Iso-Methyl Ionone.

"Activated Charcoal Powder" - Shouldn't that neutralize any fragrance ingredients?

"Made in England" for Fendrihan, and I have this suspicion that it's made by the same folks who make TOBS creams. The characteristics are similar, and their Sandalwood version is (to me) indistinguishable from TOBS' Sandalwood.

Finally - Is it just me, or does it resemble J-B Weld Metal Epoxy?
