Nostalgia Night, with First Canadian Shave Soap Co.'s "Barbershop Taper Fade".
My tub is down to a ring, and it has lost its Citrusy-Bergamotty smelly goodness, but still made great lather tonight. - Part of my SOTN tonight.
The nostalgia is because this soap is the first artisanal soap I'd ever bought since resuming DE shaving in 2016, and the first soap that didn't come from the P&G/Nivea/Edgewell shelves in the local pharmacy.
They were still selling only through Etsy at the time, in 2016, I think, and I bought it as part of a soap + Semogue 620 brush bundle.
I had bought a second tub of it because I particularly liked the scent. It was one of those soaps I'd crack open at random times I'd happen to be in the bathroom just to get a sniff.
In 2017 the original owner sold it to a couple in Toronto, and they changed the name and formula. Reviews said it wasn't quite the same.

  • Fragrance: Lemon, Bergamot, Lavender, Patchouli, Rosemary, Sandalwood, Tobacco
  • Ingredients: Stearic acid, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Aqua, Potassium Hydroxide, Adeps Bovis (Tallow), Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Glycerine, Lanolin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Fragrance, Silk
The closest substitute (in scent) I've found since is B+M Seville, so I've not totally gone cold turkey.

La Fougère Parfaite t. (Wholly Kaw) Brut

This puck soaks up water like a sand dune and keeps on drinking as the lather comes together. Looks like a good candidate for the Marco method. La Fougère Parfaite smells exactly like a $5 bottle of Brut aftershave that you pick up at the drugstore – clean, bright, and oh so familiar. Was that really what WK was shooting for?

I hadn't used NO in quite awhile (mainly because the wife is not a fan of "fake" rose scents) and had forgotten how well it lathers.  It's a dense/yogurt-like lather that reminds me of M&M Nantahala
