What soap/cream did you use today?

Black Tie Barbershop Quartet [new] soap

Ok yes, so Lip has me hooked on this base. Great stuff. I received a sample of the barbershop from Dominic. [Lather in pic]. Confession:i am a fragrance nut and have a decent inventory 300+ of EDTs&EDPs. I was expecting another mix of bergamot-vanilla-coumarin-oakmoss. Oh no- something quite special in this soap! I must calm myself before I rant about how nice this is.......

This soap is at a minimum a first cousin and at best a sibling to a very special fragrance [now discontinued] made by Chritain Dior, namely Mitzah {on the Prive line}. I knew immediately when i got my initial whiff of the sample. I have 600ml of this magical juice-a winter favorite of mine. I mean it is close to a dead ringer.

Dom, save me a puck or two! Going to be ordering again. Lip will subsidize?

Thanks for those words. Someday, I need to write out how we do come up with the scents. I've never smelled Mitzah or even heard of it. Coincidence I guess that they smell so similar.
I guess maybe we need to go into some EdP's?

Black Tie Razor - Black Velvet [Vetiver]

Well balanced vetiver - should have broad appeal, and plays well with SV Desert Vetiver.

Great base, so easy to lather. Slick with gobs of residual thickness. I have now tried a badger, synthetics [Simpson and tuxedo]. Next up is a boar - have a feeling I will check off the triple crown of performance with different brushes making it an easy daily soap reach.

3 for 3 so far [barbershop - Mitzah clone, Sandalwood, and Vetiver]. On deck, the Bay Rum! Have ordered the unscented and tobacco/musk.

Dark Limes v. (Meißner Tremonia) earthy lime

The Shea butter kicks in several hours after your shave, often quite late in the afternoon. When you normally feel like you've got 5 o'clock shadow, Dark Limes gives you the impression that you just put your razor down.
   

Tonight it was a shapeless lump of Tabac, maybe 20 g.
I used it like a stick, and face-lathered it.
Wonderful results.
