Vintage Shaver

Houbigant Fougère Royale shaving soap (vintage). One of the great ones. Alas, while it still makes wonderful lather, it has lost most of its scent.

FUZZYFACE SOAPS / Monkey Farts

Tallow based, smells like bananas, just like a Monkey Fart, lol.  Performance is premium, I may explore his other offerings as this one was a hit!

Oh my goodness, I need a tub of that. Just googled it and they are out Sad

You Sir Lip, are a dangerous man. I have a set of pucks in the mail from BLACK TIE:  sandakwoos, black tie and the bay rum. Probably should have grabbed the barbershop you describe. What is it close to in smell? Old spice, clubman, rive gauche, Honor,?

Been in the woods for the past three days with my son and grandson and 7 girls.  So fun but no time for shaving.  In honor of getting gentlemanly but not losing the forest vibe I chose DR Harris Marlborough and it’s load of cedar.  Feel great now!

Such a great lather - and may be easier than wholly Kaw to build. Very very slick. Interesting Sandalwood as well - realistic rendition in he proraso red 'family' but differs in that i detect something green and conifer like,... Small bit of pine? Nevertheless, performance wise discovery of the summer along with the Ethos line. Vetiver, bay rum, and Barbershop on deck and in the hole!

Thanks Lip and Dominick - i listened  and ponied up, well well worth  it. [Image: 414f572fed3b62e214a70aa9b18c3616.jpg]

The dry down is so killer on this one.  The sandalwood lingers most of the day.  Never could understand why this brand isn’t a DFS darling.  So so good and done so well.

Simply great soap. Like Stirling in its ability to easily build a nice low profile cream. Love this stuff

Agreed. You were blasting the horn - i listened, and should have acted quicker- but i can say this is really really easy to build the kind of lather i like - slick, no bubbles, sour cream - a great whisker batter

That's probably the Bergamot at work. My favourite scent in soaps.

Clay Face

Fjellheim v. (Fitjar Islands) light conifer

Fjellheim loads quickly and easily and makes a thick, protective lather. The finish is nice and plump thanks to lots of glycerin and sorbital, which likely contributes to the sweet notes I pick up in the background. The scent is a light but very fresh combination of your favorite conifers: pine, juniper, and cedar. It's the sort of fragrance you could put in any hotel room just about anywhere and make your guests happy without their knowing exactly why.
