Clay Face
Honolulu, Hawaii
Le Petit Chypre t. (Barrister & Mann) petigrain, oak moss, labdanum

I love a chypre in high summer. Although we're still early days into the season, it's warm enough even now to really ratchet the volume of most fragrances. A good chypre smells especially good when it's loud. The bits and pieces blend well then. Even this simple chypre of just three notes smells gorgeously abstract. With some work, you can pick out the notes, but when you're slapping it around your face, what you'll smell is mostly just saponified elegance.
