I want from a shaving soap, performance that is not persnickety.  If hard water, boar bristles, falling barometric pressure, or the value of the yen effect the soap, I am out.  I want slickness.  When I rinse my face I want to feel my cheeks as though they are oily.  I want a cleaner ingredients list.If it sounds like a laboratory chemical closet, it doesn’t belong on my mug.  I want a pleasant scent that may or may not linger.  I Like a plump post shave but I really don’t care too much about that because for the most part, if they offer the previous they will be ok on the finish.  For the love of Pete I don’t know how Stirling gets put in the 2nd tier soap category.  I find it’ll hang with all of the big hitters.  Today was Ben Franklin and man do I enjoy that scent.  How was the post shave you ask?  I needed no Shea butter at all.

Great looking lather as always - i really like wsp products. How is the marakesh? Any obvious analogs?

It is similar to WSP Dragon's Blood and Stirling's Nag Champa.  The GG has a very slight alcohol scent to it so it's not as "sweet" as the others.  Overall, I really enjoyed the scent but the product itself is a "heavy" liquid.  It felt like the oils may have separated and left my hands feeling a bit greasy.  I did shake the bottle before using it but next time, I'll really give it a good shakeup

Lip. 100% with you on Stirling. Top tier for me, for many reasons.
