What soap/cream did you use today?

Today in my SOTD ...

DR Harris Marlborough claims to have all sorts of scents going on.  Citrus, spice, sandalwood, cedar.  Well that is likely all true but for me this soap is all about the cedar.  You might be tempted to put this in the “boring” category being cedar is the top, middle, and base notes of the accord but that would be hasty.  I got it because I liked the scent of Windsor and Arlington so well and frankly I was a bit disappointed when I first sniffed it.  In fact it was put away for several months before it came out again.  I don't know what changed but I sure was in the mood for it that day!  Since then, it has gotten more time under the brush than the other two and has wormed its way into my olfactory memory.  Love the stuff. Oh, and although it is all about the cedar, it is not just cedar and unlike other scents that are easily compared to other scents that are similar, for Marlborough I got nothing.

This is my best soap. Though my tin of Hungarian Lavender is four years old, it still smells wonderful: a full, well-rounded lavender with a bright lemony top, plenty of floral in the middle, and green sappy goodness at the end. It still works perfectly, too. The lather is as dense, wet, and slick as any soap I've ever used. And it's just about the cheapest soap on my shelf. I think I paid $11 for five ounces, so about $2.20 per ounce, cheaper even than B&M's defunct Latha line. Great price, great performance, great smell, great soap.
