Mystic Water v Sardinia Honey

Takes a few minutes to dial this in : I mean slow hydration on the puck till you get a snotty buildup in the brush with no bubbles. I bloom MW with very warm water and put the bloom liquid in the top cap of the puck container. As I face lather I dip the tips in the cap using the bloom water to slowly build and continue the slow hydration on my face. It took. A good 10 minutes to brush up the yogurt. Man this stuff makes for a great post shave.

I have over the years stayed away from MW - as I have not cared for the scents I had tried. I have recently found several I do like, and I think I am more skilled with building lathers than my youth [patience I think].

Italian Barbershop v. (Le Père Lucien) orange, cinnamon

"You're face looks like a catastrophe!" – my wife's forthright and accurate assessment of today's shave. I've got red razor rash from ear to ear and all down my neck. What went wrong? It looks like Italian Barbershop 'siezed up' on me. Though the tub is only 13 months old, its lather has stopped protecting. All I got today was a frothy mess that's worse than water alone. No amount of loading or fancy brushwork could improve it. Another Le Père Lucien soap for the bin.
