Over the past couple of years I've really come to favor Black Tie Razor Co.s offerings.  The soaps are predictable and oh so nice to the sniffer.  This morning was Casino Royale, a fougere leaning on the sweeter side of things.  My goodness this stuff is great.  This approachable scent lends an air of sophistication without being pretentious.  The lather came quick, thick, and so stinking easy.  If you are familiar with Tabac, you know how this soap performs. As good as the soap is though, where Black Tie/Sir Henry's Sundries really excels is scent.  Every one I own is so well balanced.  I've always wondered why I don't see more of it on this forum.  I own top shelf stuff and this company can hang with all of them AND they don't monkey with seasonal or limited edition soaps so when I find one I like I know it'll be in stock when I want it again.  Sure would like to know how others like this soap too.

What scent do you pick up with this soap?  I sure enjoy my SOAP in this flavor.

The scent is nothing earth shattering but the glass packaging and the slickness make it a winner in my book. I can't say for sure but the views on the soap a few years ago where not nearly as glowing so I went with the cream. I bought a back up late last year when it went on sale and it's been sold out ever since while the soap is still readily available but seems a little pricey based on the mixed reviews.

As things heat up, the fragrance of Proraso Green gets a bit overbearing. This afternoon I picked up an industrial vibe that reminded me of hot machines. If I were a mechanic, I'd dive into this cream all year round. Instead, I'll just lather up Green on a cool morning when I need a little revving up. The menthol is perfect, cool and refreshing without benumbing your cheeks. The lather, too, is splendid. I just have to make peace with the scent.

Nice performance. Hate the scent per your observations
