Mystic Water Jeff’s Lavender
I’ve had this sample for quite some time and I’m trying to use up my samples so I feel like I am getting somewhere. Not sure if it’s lost it’s scent but it was about a 2 out of 10. I know she states it’s a light scent but I left it in the sandwich bag that the sample came in so that may have caused it to lessen. I really enjoy Mystic Water soaps. They don’t get as much love but she’s still in business and still making shave soaps.

Go Blue!
Felce Aromatica v. (Saponificio Varesino) light green
The more boiling water I use to bloom this soap, the better the lather turns out. Four tablespoons hot from the kettle gave me ample suds and to spare. And slippery? Under bloomed, Saponificio Varesino can come out sticky. But when it has its fill of hot water, it gets wonderfully slick. The light green scent is a nice prelude to a fougère cologne.

Bloomed the soap while I showered - loaded with a lightly damp 26mm tuxedo for about 20 seconds - face-painted for about a minute - dipped 50% of the knot in sink water and face-lathered for 2 to 3 minutes - dipped anywhere from 50% to 90% of the knot in sink water and face-lathered for 2-3 minutes (did the dip/face-lather 4 times) - ended up with a thick/slick lather that smelled amazing
I chose the LLC soap today b/c I thought it would complement the SV Stella Alpina AS sample I wanted to try out...oh boy, they paired up very nicely
