Mirto di Sardegna v. (Saponificio Varesino) lime, lavender, vetiver
A thick veil of boiling water led to the sort of glossy, slick lather HoosierShave would be proud of. Copious, too. I had enough suds for six shaves. And though the lather was wet and slippery, I still felt fully protected from the sharp edge of the blade. To cap it all off, Mirto di Sardegna smelled great. Bright with lime and clean lavender, it's the sort of citrusy fragrance I expected from Manna di Sicilia. After a few hours the scent settled down into a tart vetiver that lingered all day. Many artisans offer their fragrances as an EdT. Mirto di Sardegna is one I may be tempted to try.
