Great choice!  Will really nailed this one and gave it even more depth than what he was cloning.

Dolomiti v. (Saponificio Varesino) citrus, lavender, cedar

Saponificio Varesino is good about telling us how to use their soaps. With each box they include a slip of paper that gives the history of their company and advice on how to get the best performance from their products. These instructions are printed in both Italian and English. The Italian version calls for blooming the puck with 'un velo di acqua bollente sul sapone'. My wife, who speaks Italian, says they're asking for 'a veil of boiling water on top of the soap'. Good enough! This morning I put the kettle on and built up a nice head of steam. Then I splashed the boiling water on the puck and let it sit for about ten minutes. The result? Just about the same as when I bloom the puck with warm water from the tap – a quick easy load and a face full of dense, slick lather. I'll keep fiddling with the temperature of the bloom water for the rest of the week, but the temperature of the water doesn't seem to be the crucial part of the treatment.

Today I filled the soap tub with hot tap water and immediately dumped the water out.  This left the soap with a nice sheen on top but I certainly wouldn't call that blooming Smile.  Loaded the 26 SHD knot for 30 seconds and proceeded to face-lather.  Every 2-3 minutes, about 10% of the knot was dipped in sink water.  Did the dip/lather 4 times and ended up with a great lather...
