Tallow + Steel Dark Two

The dry Dark Two soap evokes impressions of chocolate and peppermint. Introduce some water to it, and the most exquisite Haitian vetiver is brought to life, supported by ginger. The scent of the wet soap, as well as the splash, is well-balanced, but to me, that vetiver just steals the show. The performance of the soap is superb. I’ll add that Tallow + Steel’s splashes are phenomenal, as well.

Kasbah t. (Eufros) spring amber

Turn over your tin of Kasbah and you'll find the ingredients listed all in Spanish. Not fluent? Me neither. But a little Google translating reveals that Kasbah is well larded with lanolin, Shea butter, and other fats. No surprises so far. Now scan the list of other ingredients, and what may really catch your eye is the rosa mosqueta, or rose hip. ¿Qué es eso? Rose hip is the fruit of the rose bush. Fully formed, it looks like a tiny round radish. Rich in vitamin A and C, rose hip is believed to help regenerate skin and improve its texture. I don't think I've seen rose hip in any other shaving soaps, but today's shave was so fine, I might start looking now.
