Purisitic Style v. (Meißner Tremonia) [raw vetiver, musk]
Puristic Style is a blank canvas. Meißner Tremonia doesn't scent this soap, so you can add whatever fragrance you please and make it all your own. In so doing you may discover just how hard it is to make a soap smell good. In an attempt to make a really reeking, hair-on-the-chest, manly soap, I blended some dark smoky Javan vetiver oil with a few milliliters of Serge Lutens' Muscs Koublai Khan perfume. On paper it smelled fantastic. When I worked it into the shredded soap, though, it lost all its intrigue. The puck and its lather now smell like a mild, slightly sweet vetiver with some nutty notes. It's not bad, but it's not the barbaric scent I was hoping for. At least the shave was magnificent.

I don't know how many of you saw Dominicr post yesterday but I did and he inspired me to remember in this crazy time of Corona that people are depending on me. https://damnfineshave.com/thread-guys-do...#pid314009 here's a link to the thread. So in deference to this very good counsel, and in keeping with my belief that business dress, even when working from home, makes a mental difference and keeps my tools sharp, I put on a wicked-awesome shave. I could have chosen any one of Dominick’s awesomely masculine soaps but I purposefully chose Chiseled Face Pine Tar because there is nothing pretentious, or superfluous, or soft about it. This one was all about masculine grooming. What a great shave! My heart was strong. My attitude resolute. My feelings of “you got this” plentiful. Thank you my friend! And Guys, don't let up!
