Do you know what I like best about Stirling?  That I can spell it!  Which is much different than Meisner Tremonia which I cannot.  Today was a trip man!  Warm Woods is the name and it is most certainly woody.  Written on the very elegant jar, mit funf holzern und Sumatra benzoe, which translated from that funky Japanese means “with 5 woods and Benzoin from Sumatra. That is one wood more than my golf bag which has only a 3 wood and a 1 wood for a total of 4 woods, and as everyone knows, 5 is better than 4.  5 donuts, 5 days off, 5 grandkids, yep all better than 4.  Except 5 dental cavities is not better than 4 so….sorry to screw up the paradigm so soon after introducing it.  This soap is woody!  Not Toy Story Woody.  That would just be wrong.  I don't get all the woods in the scent because I am not that good (golf with me and you will know.) but I do get a snootful is cedar and sandalwood.  Add just a touch of something to take the “shop sawdust” off and I think that is the benzoin.  At any rate it is a wonderful, and glorious scent.  Did I mention smoke?  Well it has a hint of smokiness to it too.  Not forest fire smoky but like the lumberjack cutting wood has a little smoke on his clothes from taking his breakfast around his campfire.  Lather is very nice indeed and the finish is awesome.  Packaging feels, and is, upscale.  Very nice shave.

Darwin Classic v. (Le Père Lucien) citrus, lemongrass, ginger, patchouli

Ginger gives this soap a nice dose of freshness without making things hot, while the citrus and lemongrass keep the patchouli clean. Finding a good cologne to match the scent was tricky, but I dug out some dusty 5 O'Clock au Gingembre by Serge Lutens. Its ginger, honey, and cedar hit the spot.

MdC unscented
I am continuously amazed at how easy this is to lather. 10 second load and enough for 5 passes. Creamy, shiny and slick. MdC, ABC and Stirling seem to the 3 i reach for the most. Marvelous stuff. I have had my jar of unscented for 5 years and she is just now manifesting a small egg sized depression. It will outlive me. [Image: 61db5cfef8310d5ca502cde837605cbb.jpg]

I may have it wrong but some of your CBL selections looked to be out of production. This one is still around though and looks like a nice one.
