A few years back I bought some kit for one of my 6 brothers. I love all my brothers but this one and I have been tight since he was a kid. (11 years difference). He took to it like a fat man at Krispi Kreme. He also lives close enough to West Coast Shaving to stop in occasionally and pick up supplies. He brought me this gift soap on a trip awhile back. WCS Chypre is probably a Vida Perez Oleo Soapworks creation but I don't know that for fact. I do know that the label’s description of a citrus/resin scent is accurate. This one smells different than any other soap I own, making it a keeper by default. Strength is a robust 7 that doesn't fade. Lather seems to be an Oleo offering being mid structure with plenty of slickness and a bit of tightness post shave that resolves quickly. You know me, a tight post is never my reason for booting a soap from rotation as I generally follow with Shea butter (did today). This Chypre demanded a follow-up of vintage English Leather an thus it was done. World, I smell marvelous! (Oh and yes, that is a Stahly razor)

lol. I've been using it for the last week or so no complaints. I guess many find It a little too smoky I use it for the head shave for the most part so not quite in your face. The cedar, labdanum and vanilla round it out enough for me. Usually use it once or twice a month time for you to break your tub out
