Sometimes I'm reminded that “it's just shaving” and I don't need a lot of fancy stuff to make things good. Hey, don't get me wrong, I don't regret a thing about all the razors, brushes, blades, soaps, creams, I have had or currently do have. It's a hobby after all. But I shaved literally for decades before turning Shaving into a hobby and did so with one razor, one cream, and one kind of blade. (Gillette always worked better for me than any others). Stirling makes a more than serviceable soap. It's not my favorite but then my favorite seems to change from time to time. Sharp Dressed Man doesn't have the depth and subtleties of Creeds Green Irish Tweed but neither is it 400 dollars. Sure is slick and for whatever reason I always get a close one with Stirling.
