Clay Face

Incienso t. (Eufros) frankincense

Really good authentic frankincense has a tart lemony note on top and a smooth base of dried grass and herbs. That’s all here in Eufros’ Incienso. It’s a gorgeous, rich olibanum and really nothing else, just sweet resin without the smoke. I leave the lid off for a day and the house smells like we’ve been visited by the wise men.

Un Jour Gris; A Grey Day.  I get citrus, vetiver, sandalwood and the scent is heavenly.  Chris Cullen, master scent guru, discribes it as the scent after a wild storm.  I love the image that conjures but I don't get post-storm scent at all.  What I can work, with though is the idea of rain falling and being stuck indoors.  A fire perhaps, and an easy chair with a good book, and being surrounded by fine things.  This lather is luxury.  Caties Bubbles always feels like a face-hug when I use it.  So so silky and smooth.  His latest base (not that new) has plenty of slickness and tons of cushion.  Super simple to lather, but like, others In this category, don't skimp on the loading thinking you have plenty of soap for the task.  Take a few more laps on the tub and be rewarded with a truly luxurious experience.

I'm not sure I get after the storm either but I really like it as well. I believe the note of petrichor here is the scent of moisture hitting the ground. I may have it wrong but based on scent notes it's quite possible this one along with Fine's Fresh Vetiver are modelled after Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver.
