Dark Limes v. (Mießner Tremonia) lime, clay, petitgrain
After six months on the shelf this soap’s scent seemed to have faded. But a wet brush and a little thrashing brought the full flavor back immediately. Water after all makes up a considerable portion of any shave soap. As soaps dry, their scent becomes milder. In fact, without water in the soap and in the air, it would be very hard to smell any scent at all, since water molecules help carry the scent to your nose. So a juicy soap gives you a nose full, while triple-milled soaps take some wetting to bring out their aroma. With Dark Limes MT does something special. Key lime juice takes the place of water. Sniff the puck and you might miss it, but get a bit of lather on your lips and suddenly things start tasting tart.
Note to self: a sixty-second load makes enough lather for five passes. Go easy next time.

New soap today from First Line names Razor Ruby. as stated previously, I like scents. I especially like very well done scents that transport me to a place. A couple of things I don't like though are jasmine and orange blossom. Sad, I know but that's what my sniffer says. This one doesn't seem to have orange blossom but it does have jasmine and furthermore it gives jasmine the microphone. So you jasmine lovers, give this one a sniff. To be honest, the mix is not just jasmine by a long shot. That's just the one I can't not focus on. I also have a more conservative taste toward labeling too and although I can appreciate the fantastic work of diva no designs, it's a bit too racy for my bathroom shelf. Hey, I'm a prude though. The soap is certainly an acceptable offering with very low structure lather with better than average slickness.
