Barrister and Mann Le Grand Chypre

As many fans as Le Grand Chypre has, I myself am in the “like, not love” camp. I feel that the original release had a slightly different scent, which was more appealing to me, but I haven’t been able to do a side-by-side comparison. The Glissant base is always wonderful, though, no matter what the scent.

I'll be darned.  I thought I was the only one who had this soap.

Latha Lavanda t. (Barrister & Mann) lavender

Rich, pure lavender without any camphoric sting. I don’t smell the soap base either. These Latha soaps smell like simple, clean fragrance and little else.

Do you get a Tabac vibe out of this?
I have the aftershave and I think they're close. Just more violet and less dirty than Tabac.

Absolutely agree with you here.

Coate's Lavender
I'm always amazed how silky smooth my skin feels after I use this one, even more so than the other scents in the line.
Scent is a soapy, darker lavender. I love it.
No foof here.

Great puck. Thx to you will shave with it this am. I don't get tabac; but i appreciate the complexity built in the soap. Pretty high shelf "barbershop".
