Clay Face

Cologne-Fougère v. (Le Père Lucien) lavender, rosemary, mint, hay, bergamot, green tobacco

Though they don’t announce new versions, LPL must always be tinkering with their base, seeking to perfect a soap that produces both a lasting lather and a close shave. Truth be told, older tubs of LPL can take quite a bit of coaxing to create a thick emulsion. But this new tin of Cologne-Fougère makes a creamy slick heap of suds with no effort at all. And the addition of Shea butter gives the already smooth finish some extra plumpitude. Its performance is a remarkable improvement over the 2017 vintage of this soap. What hasn’t changed is the bright fresh scent. Not as strong as most North American fougères, CF is still green, sweet, and pleasantly tart. It’s the sort of scent you could happily use every morning for a full month, or two.

Lots of new soaps in the den. This one is a Murphy and McNeil offering in conjunction with Ruds Shaves to raise money for fallen policemen Office Ronald Tarentino Jr. Charitable Fund. My son, Teton Shaves, also made brushes for the campaign so this one is dear to me. The soap is called Garda Siochana.
Well, this is my third M&M soap and I do like the soap base. Soft, so I have to have a care,to not overload but the cream it produces is low and slick and wonderful. The scent on this one is very Acqua. Even leaning towards unisex which is not a bad thing. Interesting In that some soaps show hidden notes when lathered. This one stays true to what is smelled off the tub but turns up the volume abut two clicks. It's a 5/10 of the tub and 7 while lathered. I've never experienced that before. So here's one for the folks standing on the thin blue line. Thanks.

Been a long time since we've seen a Mama Bears soap. Represent!

Dude! You build some fine lather and Pompelmo is a good one in my book.
