AoS Rose Absolute shaving cream (vintage).  Fantastic.  I'm so glad I have a backup.

This soap performs well but I just do not get much from the scent.

Ginestra di Taormina v. (Tcheon Fung Sing) woody floral

Thanks to Lipripper660  and Tidepool for getting me interested in TFS, and thanks to TommyCarioca  for introducing me to Ginestra di Taormina! This soap gave me a great shave, and the bold floral scent has perfumed my face for at least four hours. The smell of the puck is very bright and flowery, like an alpine meadow in full bloom. Woody notes come out in the lather, and together they create a sort of tobacco-y herby fragrance that I find very pleasant. Apart from some almond oil, there don’t seem to be many emollients in the base. So your face may feel a bit dry and tight right after you shave. To be honest, I didn’t mind that at all. It’s so hot and sticky here today, that dry dusty finish is entirely welcome.

How do you rate the scent (is it like EF?)... and the performance??

I have several of these (different scents in the 1912 formula) on the way, and I already have the Club Cola that I've used 2x.

If your referring to Pennhaligon English Fern I remember English Fern being a more sweet green scent but it's been a long time. Irish Fern to me me is a very light scented green Fougere and the performance is good for me but not among the soaps I would rate the best such as Grooming Dept, Noble Otter, Wholly Kaw, B&M Excelsior, and Declaration Grooming but it's is still really good. What keeps it from the top tier for me is that my skin feels a little dry during the shave and post shave compared to the aforementioned soaps.
