Trumpers Sandalwood soap. This is a lovely scent but the soap is sodium palmate first ingredient. I grated it together with some Vitos extra super that is all but scent less and it works better than great. 2/3 Trumpers (which is very slick but won't lather well) and 1/3 Vitos that is a pretty good performing soap on its own. Saved a puck that was destined to the shower.

Cèdre-Orange v. (Le Père Lucien) cedar & orange

Orange isn't my favorite scent for a soap. On its own it smells too sweet and sticky. To work in a lather it needs to be paired with something dank and clearly non-edible. That's why I like the cedar in this soap. It's earthy and reins in the juicy sweetness of the orange so that I don't feel like I'm painting my face with Minute Maid.

Mystic Water Soap Leather & Smoke

As do many others, I also find the post-shave skin feeling to be one of the best traits of Mystic Water. (Some of the scents are classics, as well.)

This Leather & Smoke is yet another pleasant scent — and a fairly strong one. For someone like me, with not very thick skin, it can cause a slight tingling that isn’t due to someone cranking up the thermostat.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”
