I'm using a lot of vetiver of late and I already reported on this one recently so I won't. But the pre-shave is new and although I don't believe I'll need it, the slickness was improved. Great shave with the old GBar.

Not really sure what I think of the scent but the lather was great!
Note: today was the first day I really dialed in my technique for lathering and got the elusive perfect yogurt like suds. Now I get it!

Yes. Yes you did dial it in. That's some awesome lather.

It's been fine all along ( my sons tub). and I don't use it but occasionally. Perhaps the mean temp and humidity being so low makes a difference?
Vétyver v. (Martin de Candre) light vetiver
A 'thin veil' of warm water awakens Saponificio Varesino's soaps, and a badger brush yields their best lathers. Both approaches work well with MdC's Vétyver, too, which is just as dense and dry. Now that I'm a little deeper into this jar, the vetiver is becoming fresher and the lather is easier to form. I see now why many shavers choose MdC every morning. Clean, reliable, and mildly scented, it's a fine soap to fall back on in the groggy hours of the day.
