What soap/cream did you use today?

Lemongrass v. (Klar Seifen)

Klar makes a decent and serviceable soap that's packaged for the road. If my shaving brush were as big as my toothbrush, this tiny tin of soap would be ideal. Loading a proper sized brush on a puck so small is annoying. This one's going into the Dopp bag. The lather comes out fine, provided you give it a good whipping before you add more water.

The soap smells like lemongrass – clean, light, and easy – and fits in well with the vetivers I've been using lately.

Simpson unscented shave cream. Came with my new brush, so giving it a whirl. Not bad at all!

Barrister and Mann Hallows

Another brilliant shave with the cool-weather masterpiece that is Hallows. Time for its summer vacation. I’ll definitely miss it, as the fragrance is amazing and the shaves are always fabulous. Thankfully I have some warm-weather siblings by the same manufacturer.

Eleven - Basil and Lime

Hadn't used this much since getting it last November as citrus scents come out more often in the Spring/Summer months for me. And not using it was my bad...the performance is top-notch with great slickness and cushion. I feel this one will be used much more as the days get warmer

One of the things I dislike about our goofy hobby is ever-chasing the newest razor, soap, brush. I did it for awhile and had a lot of fun, so those that are still chasing the rabbit, keep those reports coming. That said, in my chase I never found products that were better than the ones I already knew. Stepping off the merry-go-round has been good for me. One soap maker that seems to often get overlooked is Wet Shaving Products of Arizona. This mornings shave was WSP Ol' Kentucky and why anyone would need better,performance from a soap than this one provides is beyond me. The scent is a reasonably stout 7/10 and it'll linger post shave for an hour or two. Scent is a wonderful (to me) cologne-type with a base of sandalwood which, although not the only actor on stage, supports the overall accord. They claim the top note is bourbon but I sure don't get "boozy" like with some liquor infused soaps. To me this one smells like a cleaned up gent ready for a day with his beautiful lady. This is one of the more cushioning and slick soaps I own. I prefer the formula T over the Rustic but both are top notch.

Lip- i have several of their pucks and they will always be in my rotation. I think their bbshop fragrance is great. The mahogany and tobacco are solid as well. I don't get any booze on the ole ky either. Clean, simple, and great for the office as it does not interfere with post shave products.

The T recipe is very easy to lather, creamy and shiny stuff indeed. Thanks for the post. I hope more people try it. I think the black amber Vanille? is next for me.
