Coates Cream in Tea Tree scent. It's unfortunate that Coates is discontinued but I do have a few tubes of Tea Tree scent left. Tea Tree or Melaleuca Alternifolia is an oil harvested from the Tea Tree in Australia and has anti microbial properties. As such it has a strong medicinal scent. It just "smells" like it's doing something good. We have a local company named Melaleuca that has become a billion dollar-a-year company selling health and wellness products made with Tea Tree oil. Let's just say, this is a common scent in my neck of the woods and that I like it. Performance is spot on especially for a cream as it has soap-like slickness.

Cèdre-Patchouli v. (Le Père Lucien) patchouli & cedar

This two-year-old tub doesn't offer the same thick lather that the latest LPL soaps make, and there's no Shea butter in the recipe, but the finish is otherworldly. Ten hours after I put my razor down I still can't find a barb or bristle. This wasn't a shave, it was eradication.

Does this stuff lather?

Interesting, many people either believe or have experienced a hard time making a later. I have owned this for years and I have no problems at all. I made an enormous amount of lather yesterday. I soak my brush in distilled water and use distilled water to wet my face. I actually think it is easier to lather than DR Harris.

Yes, there was that rumor going around that this lathered as well as GFT soaps.
Not sure if there are multiple formulations or not.

I assume GFT is Geo. F. Trumper, another tippled milled soap.  Most of the hard soaps from Great Britain are tippled milled.  In addition, from what I have learned that most if not all of these soaps are made in a third party factory and not the company that markets them.  Another one that has a bad reputation is Mitchels Wool Fat; another soap I have not had trouble getting a great lather.
