Mickey Lee is one of my favorites and the Drunken Goat is on top of the heap.  Some think it smells like a Stout infused oatmeal cookie.  I get vanilla, grain, and yeast.  It doesn't smell boozy or like a beer much at all.  I also would not place it in the gourmant scent category either.  It's not dark and heavy as the very dark brown soap would allude to.  It's just wonderful.  Performance is spot on and I find both cushion and glide to be remarkable.  Just enough cushion to keep me protected but let's me get right on the skin for closeness.  Only two passes today and I was done.  This scent is a year-rounder for me.

TOBS Grapefruit...

It's a warm day in the Northeast, so I thought it would be nice to use a summery scent as a tease.

I love grapefruit, and this smells just like one. It's a great citrus scent, invigorating and clean. This will be perfect for when the weather turns hot for more then a day or two.

I wouldn't call it great in regard to slickness or protection, but it holds it own (I also may have not mixed it right... It kept looking like it could use more water ... Did I overdo it? Dunno.)

Nonetheless, I'm very happy with this soap and look forward to using it often in the hot summer days. [Image: 553b9d1f6cfadd71570d737f4f900160.jpg]

Clay Face

Traditionnel v. (Le Père Lucien) rosemary, thyme, lavender

Does anyone really leave their tins of LPL always uncovered? Cyril recommends this, saying the soap's quality will be better preserved this way. "It will dry out, become hard and more economical and its fragrance will perfume your bath." Though this tub of Traditionnel is two years old and has seen plenty of air time, it's still the same consistency as when I bought it. It doesn't seem to have dried at all, and it's certainly not got any harder. He's right about the fragrance, though. It smells sublime, just like my herb garden growing outside the window. I like it so much I put in an order for his Rosemary soap.
