This is what I don't like about wet-shaving & traveling. One of the things I love most about WS is the variety of soaps/splashes.

If you travel a lot, you almost need to stock up on those 1/2 ounce samples so you always have a variety. Otherwise buy some empties and plan out a week or two or three in shaves from your full-size stock. They are tiny enough to carry a few in your dop bag.

Home with a fever, I'm binging on all the oldest James Bond movies: Dr No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever. It may take a temperature of 103°F to stomach the films' threadbare plots (the books are far meatier than the movies), but there's no denying that Bond knows how to wear a suit, and no matter the danger, he always keeps himself well groomed (even if he does stoop to using canned cream while being held prisoner on Goldfinger's jet). After a close shave, 007 prefers Trumper's Eucris, a steel-plated cologne with enough metallic notes embedded in the moss, herbs, and berries to turn back any calibre of hot lead. I've given myself a good dousing to bring an olfactory element into my viewing. Eucris is powerful, and I'm enjoying the fragrance immensely with all the windows open and a stiff breeze blowing in off the breakers. Each breath is almost medicinal, but I might hesitate to wear it in closer confines.

Eucris soap as a puck has a nasty reputation for lathering, so I take it as a cream. It forms peaks quickly and gives an effortless shave, but you may sense some dryness for the first thirty minutes after. Give it an hour, though, and everything smoothes out, leaving your face feeling suave and dark with the ability to turn cruel if needed.
