Rosemary + Cedarwood v. (Siliski Soaps)

It took four hours to understand why vtmax gives this soap his absolute approval. It's the finish. It's excellent.

The vegetal lather is nearly as dense as a tallow soap, and the cushion and slickness are fine. I got a great shave. But I get a great shave from lots of soaps. So what makes Siliski special? For three hours, nothing. The finish at first is dry and chalky. But half way through this afternoon the kokum, mango, Shea, castor, jojoba and silk all kicked in together. They left my hide feeling buffed and hydrated without the least bit of stickiness. I'm reminded of Grooming Dept's early vegan soaps.

The soap smells just like it says on the label. No surprises, just simple clean rosemary and cedar. Good call, Max.

Nice Bouki. Yes, the post shave has become a favorite! With repeated use the skin loves it. Andrew (Siliski) just sent out samples of version 3 so it will be interesting to see what changes are in store. These uptown vegan soaps are a great addition to their tallow brothers.

Haslinger Coconut tallow. I'm not a huge fan of the scent as many others do coconut more successfully but the lather comes fast and easy and it's on point in cushion and slickness.

This is probably the nicest non-artisan Soap/Cream that I have used. The scent is a very nice soft scent, and the lather has just the lightest cooling sensation to it. Excellent performance in terms of slickness and residual slickness. The matching Balm is a wonderful compliment to this Soap and leaves my face feeling soft and hydrated without being greasy. It’s expensive, but this Soap is well worth it in my opinion. I would like to pick up some SMN in the future to compare to this Soaps performance. Wonderful, wonderful Soap this is.
